Al Hurley of SOFASST (South Florida Area Super Sport Team) put this show together for the grand opening of the Hobe Sound Advance Auto Parts Store. I'm not sure what the owners expected for the store's first show, but I'm fairly certain they did not expect to fill their entire parking lot with 67 cars. Great Job Mr. Hurley!!

Advance Auto Parts took great care of all the participants with free hotdogs, drinks, free raffle of 2 ton jacks and many other items. It was great mix of cars, and I understand they would like to do this every month.

First row is my 96 Impala SS; second row is a group of the SOFASST members cars together. I love to see a group of Impalas.
Row three pictures are of a perfect looking 1962 Corvette.
Row four is a dark blue 64 Chevelle and a black Camaro.
Row five is a two tone 54 Chevy 3100 pick up owned by Al Hurley;
loved the wooden bed.
The red car in row six and seven is a great specimen of the 1967 Chevelle SS.
Last pictures are of a very rare and like new 1956 Chevy Stock Car.

This weekend I went to a British Classic Car show with my neighbor and found these two Classic Chevy's in the park.

The first is a 1964 Chevy Impala 409 (clone) with a four speed manual transmission and a nice set of American Racing wheels. This car was absolutly pristine; spotless engine compartment and interior really made this car stand out.

The second car is a green 1957 Chevy Nomad. This Nomad had lots of custom work such as shaved doors handles, custom pipes, and much much more.

These pictures were taken on April 30, 2005 at the Cooper City Founders Day Car Show in Cooper City, Florida. The weather was perfect again for a car show.

The first picture is of My 1996 Impala SS. She won her first award at this car show for the 1980 and up class. The two Corvettes that were in the show both were stick and in very nice condition.

The second row pictures are a beautiful 1957 Chevy showing some of its chrome work. This car had so much chrome under the hood you needed sunglasses to look at it. Lots of cleaning to keep it looking that nice.

Final two pictures are of a 1967 Chevelle; very clean car.

A total of 80 cars showed up for this event which featured live music and a display of retired military vehicles.

I look forward to next year.

All cars were welcome (about 1,000 + cars) for the main show at Daytona International Raceway. The show was held right on the road course portions of the track and the pit area.

The first picture above is 1996 Impala SS. Second car is my all time favorite Corvette, the 1967 Big Block.

On the left, second row is an Impala SS with twin, that's right, TWIN, turbos. That's one sick fast car, all the from NJ. On the right, Custom Chevy Caprice that started life as a 9C1 police car.

On the left, third row, this "SS Wagon" was built by the owner after his Impala SS met an early demise. The owner pulled all of the usable Impala SS parts off the wrecked vehicle and painstakingly put them on this Caprice Wagon. The car looks just like what the factory would have turned out if they had made an SS Wagon. All of the owner's work really paid off with first place wins in the Custom Class and Peoples Choice.

On the right, another highly modified Impala SS.

The day was perfect, temp in the 60's and not a cloud in the sky. Great day for a car show.

These pictures were taken Sat., Jan. 29, 2005 at the 16th Annual River Ranch Rod Run presented by Sunshine State Rodding News. This event was held at River Ranch in Polk County, Florida off Hwy 60, which makes for a nice cruise to really enjoy your vehicle. The event featured approximately 300+ cars of all makes, models, and eras. This was the most organized event of this size that I have seen to date. There was no judging at this event but plenty of raffle and door prizes. It was a great opportunity to show off your pride and joy while enjoying others'.
