Halloween Rod Run & Car Show

The show was presented by the Historic Downtowner Saloon and Keith's Rods & Customs. This could not have been a better day for a car show; with the temperature in the mid 70's and crystal clear skies everyone seemed to have a great time. Well over one hundred cars were entered in this event.
Here are a few pictures of the Chevy Classics.

St. Judes Childrens Hospital Benefit Car Show

This show was located in the parking lot of RJ Gators of Port St. Lucie, Florida. My Local Impala club (www.SOFASST.com) attended with 11 Impalas parading to and entering the event. The amount of attention 11 Impala SS's can get rumbling up HWY US1 is amazing.

By the end of the show 96 cars were entered to show support for the children's hospital.
I hope you enjoy the pictures below.

Cooper City Founders Day Show at Brian Piccolo Park

The Cooper City Founders Day Show is sponsored by the Fort Lauderdale Region Antique Automobile Club of America. The day started out looking like a terrible day for a car show, very windy and rain threatening to come down any minute. As the day went on the weather cooperated with partly cloudly skies to keep the participants cool, but the wind was very strong, keeping most of us constanly dusting the sand off the Classics.

The Founders Day show brought quite a collection of autos from a beautifully done monster truck to an all original 1955 Chevrolet. Awards were given for the top 25 cars from 1981 & older and top ten cars from 1982 to 2006.

These are pictures of some of the Classic Chevrolets that were shown.

Daytona Spring Fling

I can’t imagine a better venue for a car show than the infield of Daytona International Speedway. The weather for this event was perfect once again with cool temperatures and clear blue skies. I entered my 1996 Impala SS into the special Impala show hosted by GOFASST and due to the constant cleaning and polishing I was unable to get information on the many Classic Chevrolets at this event.

Here are some of the pictures that I was able to take.

These pictures were taken at the Tower Shoppes weekly Friday Night Cruise. The show averages 400+ cars and includes cars of all makes and vintages. These pictures were taken late in the afternoon before most of the cars arrived, but before it was too dark for pictures.

I feel very fortunate to have a Cruise of this size within twenty minutes of my home. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

P.S. Our club had 27 Impalas show up for the Cruise.

17th Annual River Ranch Rod Run

The 2006 River Ranch Rod Run was held January 28. This year 329 cars registered for the show while another 75 show quality cars could be viewed in the parking areas.

The Rod Run is an open car show that truly brings out every era of automobile from a 1927 Chevy truck to a custom 2006 Chevy Silverado. My favorite of the entries was a 1967 Chevy Impala SS, 427 with a four speed, and original paint. Trophies are not awarded at this show, but goody bags to all registered cars are given out along with plenty of door prizes, and raffles.

The weather for this show could not have been better with cool temps. and sunny skies for most of the weekend.

Westgate River Ranch also offers many activities for the family such as petting zoo, golf, hayrides, professional rodeo (Saturday night), ice cream shop, general store, restaurant, hotel, and more.

I have included a sampling of the cars that attended the show, I hope you enjoy them.
