1976 Chevelle Laguna Type S3
“Frame off restoration done in 1992. The car has 2,500 miles on it since resto. 400 cui engine with correct Rochester 4bbl carb and dual exhaust. Also rides on correct Uniroyal Radial Tiger Paw tires and factory sport rims. My only planned changes are to install headers and maybe new stereo.
1975 and 1976 Chevelle Laguna Type S3 are rare 2 year body style used for aerodynamics in NASCAR. They were banned after Cale Yarbourough won the championship in 1977 and 1978 driving one. Chevrolet discontinued the Chevelle line after 1976.
Production numbers were 6,714 for 1975 and 8,236 for 1976. Most ended up in junk yards in early 80's. Parts are limited and the car is almost unknown.”
“This is the 3rd Chevelle Laguna Type S3 I have owned; actually my 4th Chevelle. I also had a 1972 Chevelle and a 1986 Monte Carlo.
My first was stolen & never recovered.”
